  • Revolve Clothing Company is progressive clothing design for the conscious mind. A Canadian collection of eco-friendly women’s tops, tunics, and dresses, Revolve uses sustainable fabrics, including organic cotton, soy, bamboo, and lyocell blends. The entire collection is exclusively designed and manufactured in Canada.

Revolve Clothing embodies individual spirit, conscious expression and subtle versatility. Always striving to interpret the power of simplicity, Revolve garments offer a clean silhouette that is easy to incorporate into any wardrobe and serve as a perfect palette for layering. “Versatility in design and function is very important to me,” says Revolve founder and designer, Lara Stephenson.  “I want to give people who wear Revolve the freedom to adapt clothes to their lives.”

Revolve attracts socially conscious women. Fashion-forward, unique and passionate, they strive to improve themselves and their communities. “Our clothing is part of a movement towards awareness,” says Stephenson, “a shift towards responsible yet stylish clothing.”

For Spring/Summer 2009, Revolve Clothing launched a new sub-label, entitled Honor. A personal dedication to Stephenson’s late mother, Dr. Honorata Migriño Stephenson, Honor offers the same streamlined aesthetic Revolve is known for but without the printed graphic element as seen in previous collections. Inspired by Honorata’s personal sense of style, the Honor collection is slightly more sophisticated and polished…but still easy to wear.

ABOUT OUR SOCIAL & SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES

Revolve Clothing will donate a portion of its profits to L.I.F.E. for Health, a non-profit charitable organization founded by Honorata in 1990. L.I.F.E. for Health offers Livelihood, Infrastructure, Food and Education programs in her native Philippines, and in 2009 introduced an educational support program for orphaned and vulnerable children in Rwanda.

Many of our fabrics are certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.  Other fabrics are certified under the following bodies: Global Organic Textile Standard, Institute for Marketecology, Control Union, Texas Department of Agriculture, Oregon Tilth Certification Organic and SKAL.  We also use fabric that is manufactured in Toronto and Montreal, reducing the carbon footprint from overseas shipments.  All fabrics are dyed using reactive, low-impact dyes.  Lastly, each Revolve garment is labelled with the following care instructions: machine wash cold water, hang to dry.  Not only is this better for the fabric and will ensure the garment lasts a long time, but of course, it’s also more gentle on the environment.

Our entire collection is manufactured in downtown Toronto.  We regularly visit our manufacturing facilities where good working conditions are maintained.  This is very important to us, as it ensures each garment is made to our high standards by workers making a fair wage.
